Cops: Valley School Bus Driver Offered 10-Year-Old $1 for Sex

A Valley school bus driver has been arrested on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, child prostitution, and supplying obscene materials to a minor, AZfamily.com reports.

Brian DiCamillo has been accused of sexually abusing children he drives to and from school each day. His wife, Jenifer DiCamillo, was arrested for failing to stop the abuse or reports the crimes to authorities, according to police.

Both of the DiCamillos are employed by the Deer Valley Unified School District. Brian DiCamillo came to the attention of Phoenix police after a 10-year-old boy visited the DiCamillo’s home earlier this month.

According to authorities, Brian offered the boy $1 to have sex with him. He then showed the boy pornography, police say. The boy was frightened by the incident and fled the DiCamillos’ home. In another incident, DiCamillo is accused of taking exploitative pictures of a 6-year-old boy and sharing them on the Internet, according to authorities.

Investigators say that Jenifer witnessed the whole thing, but did nothing. Under Arizona’s mandatory reporting statute, any school employee who suspects that a child has been abused is required to report the incident to the authorities.

Brian faces sexual abuse charges, including sexual exploitation of a minor. Under Arizona’s criminal code, any person who records, films, photographs, develops, or distributes images of a minor engaged in sexual or exploitative behavior can be charged with sexual exploitation of a minor. If the child is under 15 years old, it’s a class 2 felony and punishable by 10 to 24 years in prison.

According to the Deer Valley Unified School District, both Jenifer and Brian DiCamillo will be terminated from their positions if they’re convicted of their charges.
