Wife Stabs Husband Over Cosmo Magazine Quiz

Cosmopolitan magazine quizzes can be pretty steamy, but who knew they could be dangerous as well?

On Sunday morning, Mesa police arrested 22-year-old Noelle Clough after she allegedly stabbed her husband over a quiz in Cosmopolitan magazine, AZfamily.com reports. Clough will likely be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to authorities, Clough and her husband were drinking and looking at a Cosmo quiz at their apartment near Southern Avenue and Longmore, when they got into an argument about their ex-lovers. The fight escalated to the point that Clough's husband threw two kitchen knives on the floor and urged Clough to stab him, Clough says.

Eventually, Clough's husband had enough of the argument and began to walk away from her. At that point, Clough allegedly grabbed one of the knives from the ground and stabbed her husband in the back with the 4-inch pairing blade, according to court documents.

Clough called the police and told them that her husband had a cut on his back and needed stitches, according to the police report. Clough also told police that her husband choked her with his arm, police say. Clough was arrested and will probably be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Under Arizona's criminal code, a person may be convicted of aggravated assault if she committed an assault that caused serious physical injury or involved the use of a deadly or dangerous weapon. Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon is a class 3 felony in the state. That means Clough will likely face jail time if convicted.

When police arrived, Noelle Clough reportedly told police that she was a monster and asked to be locked up forever and shot, CBS News reports. Clough's husband was not seriously injured in the attack, authorities say.
